Notecards? Sure and Palin was also WIRED....

It is very clear that she was wired and receiving live coaching. Look at how intently she was concentrating when she wasn't speaking! What was she concentrating on? Certainly not what Biden was saying. Look for the times where she starts to ramble and all of a sudden is directly on point with talking points....reciting information given to her via the wire. Somebody was directly intervening and telling her what to say.

It is a travesty that the debates allows this. And an even greater travesty that the media doesn't even begin to look into the ethics of wiring people for the debates. George Bush was the first to be busted for this....but it is still allowed?

Personally, I'm interested in a leader that doesn't need training wheels to speak in public.

It's incredible that the most insightful and accurate commentary in this election is coming from humor (such as above) and from comedians: Jon Stewart, Joy Behar (on The View), Colbert, Letterman. The "straight" journalists are always trying to make extremes more moderate in order to appear fair. But then they cannot deal with the extremes of the GOP - Palin, the nuttiness, and the bold lies.

Not bad, usually political commentary on the web quickly degrades into labeling, negative framing, and childish name calling. There should be a blog plug-in to filter out regurgitated keywords and phrases that people use ad nauseam.

Having said that, I didn't find the graphic that funny.

Hum, reading some typical American replies to yet this funny post.

I myself am from Europe and you notice that American's aren't really used to go into a descent political debate. I think I have the right to know, since I work with American people daily. When we have a chat or if I'm over there and talk about politics they tend to avoid the subject.

Some people have to open their eyes and look beyond borders. And to conclude a lot of art has a political influence anyway. So a post like this definitely is a plus!

By the way I don't like any of the 2 candidates.

I can't believe so many people are upset by a little political humor. I am an Obama supporter, admittedly, but I would be feeling very bad indeed if I felt unable to laugh at a good Obama joke. Wit is wit, and the world would be worse off without it. On a related note, my [obviously unsolicited] advice to the people threatening to stop reading: If you close down your world to the point that you only read blogs that either mirror your own views or are unwaveringly apolitical, you are not punishing anyone but yourself and the people who have to make conversation with you!

For the posters here who are upset that perhaps this is a "liberal blog" or that Tina presumes all those interested in graphic design are "liberals" (and as if both of these descriptors are dirty words) --- The graphic is funny and NOT "liberal" just accurate.

I'm sorry for those who can't face the reality that perhaps their candidate (and someone who has a 25% chance of becoming the next US President) was inept during this debate (and during numerous other interviews too).

I also feel sorry for you if you can't laugh at what is a clever "spot on" graphic, and admit (no matter your political affiliation) that it does what graphic design does best -- communicate with words and art. That is the purpose of this blog, to highlight good design.

Maybe if the conservative people responding would open their eyes and see that their candidate is an absolute moron...we could all laugh at the truth of this. And I'm not saying that Barrack Obama is the perfect candidate either. Honestly how you vote between a giant douche and a turd sandwich is beyond me, but at least the turd sandwich has a brain.
