The tons of weird stuff (the nice type:P) coming from Asia.
a while abck there was this artist who does 'painting' made out of hair he collected from salon and such.

Reminds me a lot of Zhang Huan (China and NYC) and his "Family Tree" from 2000. More ink/calligraphy involving the face... http://www.zhanghuan.com/ShowWorkContent.asp?id=27&iParentID=18&mid=1
