candle carver

I had never heard of a Candle Carver until recently while looking through Core77's gift guide. This is brilliant and makes for such a fabulous table decoration.

what about the apple itself? will anyone eat it after it served its purpose of decoration? people starving and a designer spending time creating something stupid like this... a shame.

I think apple thing is a great idea. If you've got a compost bin then you've already considered the apples second life! It's also the sort of 'left over' a guinea pig goes wild for.
